Hairy Beary began as an idea with Stuart in the Northern Maine territory.
Soon thereafter, Carolyn in Florida began writing the adventures of Hairy Beary.
Tammy's illustrations helped set the tempo for the character and the books.
Jim then began coordinating the books and products.
